Living fully has always been the only possible option for Bill Kaulitz. At 12 he formed the band Devilish with his twin brother Tom and friends Georg Listing and Gustav Schafer. In 2001 the band catches every opportunity to perform and it‘s thanks to their perseverance that in 2003 talent scout Peter Hoffman discovers them. He changes the name of the band in Tokio Hotel and obtains a record deal with Universal.
Their latest single Hurricane and Suns is the bonus track of their album Best Of, released in late 2010, which contains all their greatest hits. The album was released in three versions: Inglese Version, German Version and Deluxe Limited Edition.
Bill Kaulitz, who is adept of a very dark color palette, is inspired by the looks of the great rockstars of the past when it comes to his wardrobe. To perform on stage he never gives up metal studs and heavy eyeliner, for social events he remains true to his rocker DNA, always opting for slim trousers preferably in leather, biker jackets or blazers sharply cut and boots. The military-inspired navy blue cashmere coat by Burberry Prorsum and the Frankie Morello tank top are perfect for him. To achieve a style a little less sui generis the minimal cotton shirt by Calvin Klein and a pair of washed jeans like the ones by Desigual or the parka in soft fabric by Emporio Armani.

Bill Kaulitz's Parisian style is of Kilian Kerner

This magnificent jacket, worn by Bill in Paris on the occasion of " Wunderkind -Show" - show of the Designer Wolfgang Joop, was specially created for this occasion by the German designer Kilian Kerner. (The 6th October 2010)

This collaboration between Kilian Kerner and Bill exists for some time. Indeed Bill wore some clothes of the German designer during the shooting "Nicht von dieser Welt" for the magazine Stern, out in February, 2010.
I like very much what makes this designer. His official site: http://www.kiliankerner.de/

Interview: Bill Kaulitz on Overpacking and His Fashion Inspirations

Source : aviva.buzznet.com

Lead singer, German fashion icon, part-time model, and clothing designer, Bill Kaulitz has a style all his own. The Tokio Hotel frontman talks about what inspires his look and how he travels in style with Buzznet.

Buzznet: Who are your style icons?

Bill Kaulitz: I don’t have a particular idol. There are many different people though who I like and get inspired by. Working with Karl Lagerfeld for instance was great. I adore him. I’m also a huge fan of Heidi Slimane. When it comes to music and appearance Steven Tyler is really impressive!

BN: What is your absolute favorite item of clothing?

BK: That’s a really tough question because there’s barely anything that I can spare while I’m on the road. I don’t have a specific piece of clothing – I simply need it all which is why I bring 10 to 20 suitcases with me. By now, my closets look almost like a clothing store. Even though I find it a little insane myself, I enjoy it a lot.

BN: What fashion trend do you wish would just go away already?

BK: Fur!!! I find it horrible that so many animals get killed for fashion because that’s not how it needs to be. Buying items made of artificial leather or artificial fur from the well know designers is not an easy thing, but when I get items custome made I always make sure that no animals are used for them.My hope is that the big and more expensive lables will start working like this and some more animals will be saved.

BN: Describe your look in three words or less

BK: I’m afraid that’s something I can’t do and would also limit myself too much. Every morning when I’m getting dressed I’d have to stick to exactly these three words. An absolutely horrible thought! I’ll leave it to someone else to make up the three words.

BN: If your style had a theme song, what would it be?

BK: I still need to write that one.
